Mangalore: The Mangalore Ramakrishna Mission organized a seminar on Education for B.Ed. students on Wednesday, when Karnataka Bank M.D. P. Jayarama Bhat spoke about his concern for the ever-widening gap between the richer classes and poorer masses in India. He wanted local people to take Swami Vivekananda’s message on national regeneration seriously.
Dr.Mohan Alva of Moodabidri was the chief guest, who stressed the need of giving an important place to fine arts in the educational system.
Head of the Mangalore Mutt, Swami Jithakamananda in his keynote speech said Swami Vivekananda’s concept of Indian Education aimed at building men of intellect and character, which was required today.
Smeer Sinha, Dr.Usha Vastare, and writer Sudhar Sharma presented their papers at the seminar, on dedicated educationists.
