Mysore : The Dasara Gold Card, which confers a slew of privileges to the buyers during Dasara festivities, was released by Karnataka Minister for Medical Education S A Ramadas, who is also District in-charge Minister.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said the 500 gold cards, priced at Rs 6,000 each, would be on sale within the next few days.
They can also be purchased online.
Benefits for the card-holders include free admission for two persons to places of tourist interest in Mysore and free admission to venues of cultural programmes, apart from discounts at specified rates at various outlets on purchase of select artefacts and rebate on room rent and restaurant charges in participating hotels.
The gold cards would also be on sale at premium hotels and in the Tourism Department offices.
Gold card holders are also assured of seats at vantage positions to witness the cultural events, including music and dance concerts.
Special seating arrangements will be made for them for the Jumbo Savari or the Vijaydashami procession and the torchlight parade at the Bannimantap Grounds on October 6.
