Bellary: The CBI police on Monday morning(October 3) raided the homes of Bellary Reddys close relatives and associates, to seize valuable documents that concerned illegal mining in Bellary district, as part of an enquiry.

A BJP (Kudligi) MLA Nagendra’s house, AMC chief Gali J.Reddy’s wife Aruna’s house and office, Deccan mining Syndicate owner Rajendra’s house, Parvatamma’s (a former mine owner) house, Jindal steel officer of administration and elsewhere in seven areas, searches were carried out by 25 CBI officers diligently to seize records of value.

CBI raided inn Chitradurga, Davanagere and Dharwad in some houses belonging to people connected with Reddy group at various times. In Bangalore, the raids were conducted in 3 places, where offices of Rajendra Jain of Deccan Mining Co. are situated. Former DFO Muthiah;s house and office even a guest house were raided.
