Karkala: Asha(24), a resident of Kalikamba Janata Colony near Ajekaru village and her one year old son, Puneet, both died in an open well in a double tragedy on Wednesday morning, October.5.

The child was playing near a well while the young mother was washing clothes and she heard the noise of Puneet falling into the well. She plunged in immediately to save him, but both lost their lives.

A case of accidental death of two was registered by Ajekaru police station. Krishnaiah, the father of Puneet was the miserable man, who had married Asha 4 years ago to lead a happy family life, till then.
