Bangalore: If Devaragunda Sadananda Gowda has to Continue as Chief Minister of Karnataka, he has to be an MLA of state Assembly, or at least and MLC, but not an MP.
He has spent only 2 months as CM, but he has no further time to resign as MP and seek an MLC tag to continue in Bangalore.
But, Bookanakere Yeddyurappa has other plans, to return as CM, and not to allow Gowda to resign as MP in a hurry.
There is no vacancy so far either to be MLA, or MLC for Gowda, so far as near future can go.
But rule is a rule, and the ruler cannot skip it. Yet, Gowda is standing in two boats, or rather, riding 2 horses.
He has been neglecting Parliamentary duties ever since he became MP of Mangalore, and now of Udupi Chikkamagalur. People bear with him, because they do not want him to fall sick, as he was, when he became MP from Mangalore. Prayers went out for him to get well then.
Now Prayers have to be conducted for him to get rid of yeddy’s pressure on him to stay on as MP, and not become MLC.
Any MLC from Coastal region should be able to resign and make way for DVS Gowda, to enter state legislature as an elected rep and leader of BJP, to continue as CM who will oblige?
