Mangalore: Journalist-translator Ravi Belagere of Bangalore was called here to inaugurate the Mangalore Varsity Post-graduate Students’ Union on Saturday.
Belagere told the students that by hard labour alone, and by doing one’s duty diligently, one can earn fame and money, while inaugurating the current year PG students’ union at Mangala Gangotri.
Professionally he said, one can earn either name or money, but to earn both, they need to come in search of you, as you work hard in a field of activity Citing his own instance, he said he had laboured for 18 hours a day to reach his heights.
Vice-Chancellor T.C.S. Murthy presided on the occasion. Registrar Prof. K.C. Gowda, Vice-president K. Pradeep and treasurer Kuldip, besides cultural secretary Bhavya, of the Union were present.
PG Union chief K. Pradeep(Shetty)Welcomed the learned gathering. Prof. A.M.A Khader of students’ Welfare Directorate recited the Oath for students representatives to fallow.
