Mangalore: Addressing a meeting of senior citizens Association MSCA of the city, at Karnataka Bank Hall on Diwali day(October25), chief guest and the retired Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde opined that Jan Lokpal bill alone would not eradicate national level corruption while the was in the presence of chairman Ananthakrishna Bhat.
Hegde said old age organizations keep the senior citizens active and happy in an aging process together. Zero tolerance of corruption at all levels only, can save people from this menace Hegde added. Corrupt politicians are invited by various Associations to meeting and honoured with a view to secure financial and other favours, but this increased corruption levels.
The youths should keep away from such tendencies. People are the rulers, Hegde stressed. NSCA President Jagdish Rao and secretary K. R. Rao were present on the occasion.
