Mangalore: The Rotary Club of North Mangalore Conferred its ‘Vocational excellence’ award on the retired Karnataka Lokayukta Justice N. Santosh Hegde, on Thursday in city.

Accepting the award, the former Judge of Supreme Court, Hegde gave a call to all people in city to fight against economic imbalance in society, when people have this responsibility to remove extreme variations in incomes.

He advised local youth to shun all incentives/lures that go with an office, but remain active and move forward with humanitarian pursuits.

Dr. K.R. Shetty, retired Dean of KMC was chief guest, and honoured Justice Hegde who lives in city. Several Rotary Club dignitaries like President Dr. Preetham Rai and Secretary Suraj Kotian and others, were present.
