Mangalore : Former union minister and senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary criticised KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza and said that he holds too many posts in the party.
He was speaking at the paty’s assessment meeting organized by the Mangalore South Block Congress Committee under the guidance of the KPCC to discuss an interactive meeting with voters at Kanthi Church Hall in Mangaladevi on October 30, Sunday.
He said that the youth Congress members must work hard and prove their worth before achieving any posts.
Poojary said that Ivan D’Souza is holding the post of secretary of KPCC, vice president of the district Congress, and also election officer. He urged Ivan D’Souza has to resign from the post of vice president of the district Congress immediately so that honour could be given to other senior member.
He urged the Congress members not to show black flags when Advani visits the city since it will add more publicity to his yatra and Congress activists could end up getting jailed for this issue.
KPCC secretary Ivan D’souza, MLA U. T. Khader, Mohammed Masood, the former president of the minority community commission, and Congress leaders Arun Coelho and Mithun Rai were also present.
