Mangalore : As per the petition filed by the supporters of Shrimad Sudeendra Teertha Swamiji, Matadhipathi of Kashi Mutt Samsthan to the Kadaba Court in relate to the idols, the magistrate handed over the idol to his holiness today.
Reportedly around 20 idols which were seized from Raghavendra Tirtha Swamiji , disowned disciple of Shrimad Sudeendra Teertha Swamiji during his house arrest by the Andhra Pradesh police at Indiranagar, Kadapa, Andra Pradesh were kept in Kadaba District Treasure.
As per the petition filed by power of attorney G G Prabhu of Mumbai to the Supreme Court 15 days back that the idols belongs to his holiness Shrimad Sudeendra Teertha Swamiji, the magistrate has given the judgment today stating that the Idols will be handed over to his holiness with the surety of Rs 2 lakhs and two local people guarantee and also the bond given by the power of attorney. Further Shrimad Sudeendra Teertha Swamiji will give the acknowledgement to the court.
The victory celebration was held in the city and sweets were distributed. Around 700-800 people participated in the procession.
