Mangalore : Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr. K. N. Vijayaprakash, flagged off the Legal Services Literacy Chariot and Mobile Adalat at the district court premises on Dec 1, Thursday.
This mobile Adalat will conducting workshops in order to provide legal information requiredl for the common man in the city.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, Dr. Vijayaprakash said that mobile court is of great importance to the common people in the city since, Mangalore do not have many court which can handle all types of cases.
Speaking on the occasion, S. P. Chengappa, the president of the Mangalore Bar Association, said that rural people are being cheated since they lack the knowledge on legal issues, hence educating them through such kind of technique is necessary.
H. R. Deshpande, the district sessions judge; Labhu Ram, the superintendent of police; and Dr. B. K. Ravindra, the principal of SDM Law College, were also present.
