Mangalore: The organization like Students’ Federation of India (SFI) as well as Popular Front of India (PFI), must be immediately banned, said Vinay Jadhav, a local ABVP leader.
He was speaking at the protest staged by members of Akhila Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad against SFI and PFI near Besant College on July 19, Monday.
Around 50 ABVP activists called anti-PFI and SFI slogans for nearly a quarter of an hour and even blocked the road for a brief period.
The protest was followed by chopping the palm of T. J. Joseph, a Malayalam professor, for allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammed in a question paper.
Purushottam, District Convener of ABVP delivered a speech condemning the incident and named them as rising terrorism and naxalism in Kerala.
ABVP member Harsha said that the organization will intensify its protests if the authorities ignored its demands.
