Mulky : Around 17 passengers were injured when a private bus plying from Mangalore to Shimoga (via Udupi) collided with another close to Pavanje Bridge near Mulky in the noon on Dec 11, Sunday.

The bus driver in a bid to overtake a lorry, rammed into another bus plying from Karkala to Mangalore on national highway 66.

Fifteen passengers of Mangalore-Shimoga bus and two from Karkala-Mangalore bus sustained minor injuries.
 
The injured passengers have been treated in Srinivas Hospital, Mukka and Padmavathi hospital, Surathkal.

A case has been registered in Suratkal police station.
