Mangalore : In a shocking incident, a Navy Sea King helicopter caught a blaze, when it was just about to take off from Mangalore Airport on December 12, Monday morning.

Luckily, the 13-member crew of the helicopter, comprising of six high-level Naval officers had escaped without sustaining any injury.

The helicopter was on its way to Mumbai from Kochi.

The incident occurred just 5 minutes after the landing of helicopter at 10:50 a.m. Immedietly the fire was doused and the crew were taken to a safe location.
