Mangalore : An unidentified dead body was found in a well near the Kankanady Railway Station on Dec 14 Wednesday.

The incident came into light when the local people complained of a tainted smell coming from the well belonging to the railway department, which is located in a deserted place.

The body was in a highly decomposed state, indicating that the person must have died a long time back. 

The body which was in highly decomposed state was dressed in jeans and shirt, but the clothes are in a pathetic condition since the person must have died a long time back.

The Pandeshwar police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body with ropes and investigation is going on.
