Mangalore: Wednesday night on Dec 21 was dreadful, as a KSRTC bus on way to Madanthyar from Mangalore dashed against a private Vishal Travels bus near Jyothi circle in Balamatta, while negotiating a turning, injuring 5 passengers in the process. The private bus had no passengers in it and was returning from Udupi to city.

As traffic was choked by the impact of these large transport bodies, big crowd gathered to witness the spectacle.

The Traffic  police were no where to be seen at night, and must have registered a case against drivers later on of late, KSRTC buses are getting more into accidents due to drunken driving, negligence and over-speeding, passengers complain.
