Puttur: Dakshina Kannada district’s premier educationist and Tulunadu cultural leader,  Dr. M. Mohan Alva of Mudaabidri Educational Trust has been named for Patriot N.S. Kille Foundation award in 2011, and the announcement is made by the Foundation chairman, Kadamajalu Subhash Rai on Wednesday. The award will be presented by Erya Lakshminarayana Alva at Kedambadi Sri Rama temple on Dec 30, in a public meeting presided over by Puttur BJP MLA Ms. Mallika Prasad, Rai informed newsmen. Dr. Narendra Rai Derla will make the main speech (of congratulations) on the occasion.

The award carries Rs. 10,000 and mementoes. The kille award is given away since 2001. Kille had interest in social service, literature and Yakshagan shows.

The pressmeet for announcements was attended by Foundation secretary Dr. Palthady Ramakrishna Achar, who till recently headed Tulu Literal Academy, besides Chandrahs Ballal of Kedambadi Beedu (Treasurer), and Idyape Shivarama Gowda who started the Foundation.
