Mangalore : Delivering his Christmas message on December 23, Friday Rev. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the bishop of Mangalore Diocese said that Christ came into the world to bring peace, and in the modern world, Christ’s message of peace and fraternity is relevant.
Speaking about the significance of the season, he said that the midnight mass on December 24 is celebrated in honor of Jesus Christ and his holy birth and that Christmas is one festival people celebrate irrespective of caste, creed, region, and other human differences.
Informing that the Mangalore Diocese as a part of its silver jubilee celebration have decided to construct 160 houses for the economically backward people under various human central scheme and the construction of 60 houses are in progress and the construction of 100 houses will take place in coming days.
Henry Sequeira, the chancellor of Mangalore Diocese, PRO William Menezes, Fr. Onil D’Souza; and Marcel Monteiro were also present.
