Udupi : Chief Minister of Karnataka D. V. Sadananda Gowda inaugurated the Shrinivas Institute of Medical Science and Research and Shrinivas Hospital established by the A. Sharma Rao Foundation in Suratkal on Dec 25, Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, CM said that DK and Udupi districts have contributed significantly to health, banking, and education. He applauded and said that the newly inaugurated Srinivas Institute of Medical Science and Research centre is the seventh medical college in DK district.
Recognized the role played by renowned individuals like Shivaram Karanth, T. M. A. Pai, and others in the field of banking, education, and healthcare sector in the districts are commendable. He also congratulated A. Sharma Rao Foundation for setting up a new medical institution
Minister for higher education and Muzrai V. S. Acharya; Pejawar Mutt Seer Vishweshwara Teertha Swamiji and Dr. Shriprakash K. S., the vice chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore also spoke on the occasion.
A. Raghavendra Rao, president of A. Sharma Rao Foundation, presided over the event and Vice President Shrinivas Rao welcomed the gathering.
