Mangalore: About 20 masked hooligans attacked Hebron Assembly of the Pentecostal Church of Got at Haleyangady, midway between Mangalore and Mulky, on Wednesday (Dec 28) night, pelting stones, throwing sticks and injuring two devotees including the pastor of this church.

The pastor Prasanna, with his family, and five other persons were at a prayer service in the Hall, where the trouble mongers gatecrashed in, to pelt stones and throw sticks around. They fled the scene, when attempts were made to catch them.

Of a group of about 10, only 2 were hurt, but the window panes were broken and kitchen utensils, besides refrigerators on the place, were damaged.

Some vehicles parked outside the church, on the premises also were vandalised. The CC TV installed at the Church did not give a proper account, as the miscreants were masked and could not be known.

Police Inspector Basheer Ahmed and ACP Puttamadaiah reached the scene and investigations are going on to arrest the culprits.
