Mangalore : The minister of Dakshina Kannada district must work for the development of the district irrespective of party, said Union Minister of Corporate Affairs Veerappa Moily.
He was speaking at the valedictory ceremony of Coastal Business Development Summit organized in association with the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coastal District Chambers of Commerce and Associations, Department of Industries and Commerce, Department of Infrastructure Development, Coastal Development Authority, and NRI Forum jointly at T. V. Raman Pai Convention Centre in Mangalore.
He also said that Industries should not be Bangalore Centric but it must be decentralized at other small cities too. The decentralization of industries will also give importance to other cities like Mangalore.
The smaller cities must have the infrastructure in regard to the man power. The youth at the present day demand development and the job opportunity. The development in the district does not come up by charity but has to come up by efforts, he added.
J R Bangera, president of FKCCI, Bangalore welcomed the gathering and R Shivakumar, vice president of FKCCI proposed vote of thanks.
