Mangalore : Bantwal MLA Ramanath Rai said that the members of Sangh Parivar is directly responsible for hoisting Pakistan flag at Bijapur and now in the fear of standing accused, hence denying the fact.

He was speaking at the press meet held at District Congress office; he said that the Sangh Parivar is using various techniques in the name of party and religion to come into power. It was pre-planned by the RSS and other hindu outfits fighting for Hindu rights. The Hindu’s must condemn this act of hoisting the flag of other country and evoking communal violence. Hence the state government must take immediate action against the miscreants.

Speaking on the Sullia stone pelting issue is a shame to democracy, since the government did not have power to stop their people and intervened between the police department.

Criticizing about the school and college students being forcibly taken  in the school van to participate in the protests organized by the right-wing organizations, he said that drafted a letter to the President of India and governor of Karnataka and chief of the PU Board to restrict college students from participating in ‘communal programmes’.

He also said that AICC general secretary Madhusudan Mistri will come to Mangalore to participate in the meeting held to discuss the party’s development and work to be held at Shanthi Kiran Hall at Nanthoor on January 9, Monday from 10.30 to 3.30 pm.  Corporate affair minister Veerappa Moily, senior Indian National Congress leader Oscar Fernandes and Former Union minister J Janardhan poojary will also participate in the event, he said.
