Mangalore : The members of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged protest holding black flags in front of district-in-charge minister’s office in the premises of the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) on Jan 20 Friday.
Addressing the protestors, district president of the DYFI Muneer Katipalla, said that the police department has failed to arrest those who killed a mother-daughter duo in Panjimogaru.
He also demanded that the case should be handed over to the CBI. Eventhough Razia and her 8-year-old daughter were killed in broad daylight six months back, and the police have not made any development in the case.
Dayananda Shetty, secretary of DYFI condemned the failure of the police to solve a case that has shocked the entire district. The protestors also shouted slogans against the state government and the district administration.
