Mangalore : Former Union minister B Janardhana Poojary said the reputation of the state destroyed when the sex Chief Minister defended the sex scandal took place in the assembly recently.
He was speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Feb 8, Thursday. He also said that CM DV Sadananda Gowda’s present behavior shows that he is unfit to be in the Chief Ministers post and it is proved.
Speaking about the rave party held at St Mary’s Island, he said that even though the obscene dance and other events took place in the event at Spring Zouk, CM has defended and supported the matter. But when the public and media went on protesting it, then he passed out an order to investigate it.
Around 6,000 people participated in the event, which included 400 foreigners, hundreds of police officials and rest of general public. Even after knowing it is illegal event, the DC of Udupi has supported it and CM has still not taken any action against it. The DC had organized an event without taking permission from the Gram Panchayath, he said.
Speaking about the porn watching MLA’s incident, he said that CM has no moral values. He should have moved a resolution to throw the MLA’s out of the Assembly on the same day or next day and take action on them, but nothing of such kind took place. Instead the CM adjourned the assembly and conducted the meeting of BJP MLA’s in a way to support them and argued without giving a chance to the opposition part minister Siddharamaiah to speak.
He also said that Speaker K G Bopaiah was asking to maintain silence in the assembly, but the BJP MLA’s were busy shouting without giving respect to his words. He is also involved in the conspiracy. Speaker told to conduct the investigation. When whole world has seen the scene and the ministers resigned after being guilty, then there was no necessity of investigation. Speaker is the custodian of the assembly and protecting the reputation is his duty.
Poojary said that when the MP’s in American Assembly saw the film in the assembly, they sent them out, but here they supported them by destroying the reputation of the state.
He also said that Speaker must be charged for covering the issue and not taking any action against them. When the ministers have admitted their fault, there was not necessary of give time till March 12.
He questioned the women’s wing of BJP for their lost BJP principles. There are total of 16 posts in the assembly and now these scandals are increasing the posts, he said.
Congress leaders like Vijay Kumar Shetty, Harikrishna Bantwal, Kallige Tharnath Shetty and Arun Coelho were present.
