Udupi : The district administration, the city municipal council, and various other departments organised a condolence meeting in honor of Dr. V. S. Acharya, the district-in-charge minister for Udupi and state higher education minister, at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Auditorium on Feb 15, Wednesday.
Large number of VIPs and common people participated in the event and paid tribute to the late minister. Famous BJP leaders L. K. Advani, CM D. V. Sadananda Gowda, and others spoke on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, L. K. Advani said that the matter of Udupi, always reminds him of Dr. V. S. Acharya. He played a major in the BJP’s coming to power for the first time in the state; he said that Dr. Acharya was known for his hard work.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that Dr. Acharya’s life was an open book.
