R. Ashok seeks Udupi DSP’s report on St. Mary’s bash (February 3 to 5)

Manipal: Home and Transport minister from Bangalore, R. Ashok has sought all details on alleged obscenities that had taken place on holy St. Mary’s island after Sunset, for 3 day from February. 3 to 5 in a tourism during Zouk rave party (Island Festival) against all rules relating to the venue for travellers.

Ashok told pressmen on Thursday (February.16) that he sought all details from DSP (Udupi) Dr. M.B. Borlingaiah, IPS to get at the bottom of the controversy.

The festival attended by 500 foreign scantily dressed (hippy) tourists and 900 Indian city dwellers from Bangalore, Mumbai, Goa and elsewhere, was eroticised after hit happened.

The activities came under sever criticism of not only politicians, but Udupi Swamis, and local people who were made scapegoats of shame.

The opposition leaders (of congress/JD-s) charged BJP rules with double standards in Tourism, not representing Indian (Tulunad) Cultureat all.
