Mangalore: In the coming legislative council elections from the southwest graduates constituency, the treasurer of Shimoga DCC, S.P. Dinesh is the candidate (Congress) for Graduates of D.K. Udupi, Kodagu, Shimoga and Chikkamagalur districts.
Speaking at a press meet held I DKCC office on Friday morning, Dinesh said he was confident of winning the legislative Council (Upper house) elections.
He is according priority to the Kannada-speaking people in local employment and law graduated for sub inspectors posts. He wants legal cells in all departments and centralised valuation for all universities in Karnataka. He would also fight for a common syllabus.
About 45,000 graduates (out of about 17 lakhs) only have registered themselves as voters under the constituency covering 5 districts he, revealed.
