Mangalore: The CITU state Vice-President B. Madhava expressed his wish to defeat neo-liberal force and policies broth in by ruling BJP government. He was addressing 9th Zonal committee meet of Peerless Insurance employees, at local CB-E4 Golden Jubilees Hall in Kodialbail on Sunday, February.19.
Madhava stated that Trade Union leaders of various political affiliations, had decided to join in a fight against Government and its declared policies that did not benefit toiling masses in laboring classes.
It is a historic struggle, he opined. These united Labour Union would demonstrate in a rally on February.28 across the nation, he added.
He referred to agitations in USA like ‘Occupy wall Street’ of New York capitalism, to highlight global offensives by masses affected by globalization forces.
Only 17% of world capitalists (MNCs and corporates) control lion’s share of world wealth. All others are deprived of normal civic benefits in society.
He thanked leaders joining February 28 protest meetings all over India. Gautam Chatterjee, secretary of AI Peerless E4, Kamal Bhattacharya, CVA Kumar and local CITU leader Vasanth Acharya were present among others.
