Mangalore: The Gurupur gram Panchayat (GGP) is organising a two-day ‘Grama Habba on February 25 and 26 at Vaidyanatheshwar Temple premises, n the theme of Grama Swaraja (rural self-rule).
This subject has been discussed under Mahatma Gandhi every now and then as to what the free India in future should be, as it is a land of villages and Panchayats, and development is not possible to reach it from the top a strong federal united, central Government based Delhi. The goal is not reached yet.
The present festival has many competitions, informative address by learned persons , and cultural programmes as well depicting village life on coastal reign.
Mangalore MP NalinKumar K, will inaugurated it, with a rally moving from Gurupura bus-stand to Falguni village, where the concourse takes place.
