Mangalore: A two-day national level Moot Court Contest was held in SDM Law College, beginning Saturday, ending on Sunday Lokayukta special Court Judge N.K. Sudheendra Rao inaugurated the event and urged people, especially young educated, to fight corruption at every stage of public life to root it out as a social menace.
Rao informed that no profession is free from the clutches of corruption, which had spread to all in our life. Human freed has protected and developed corruption to such a large extent.
When people develop ambitions, they sacrifice morals to go corrupt. But Gandhi taught us that means were as import as goals in the end.
Justice Rao asked youths to study law, instead of joining corporate bodies of Commercial character to earn higher salaries. Law practice gives them satisfaction, which higher incomes would not.
Junior law graduates have to be trained by senior advocates, to get into legal profession thoroughly. Internet copies will not help he observed.
K. Subhash of Bar Council was chief guest. Principal D&S Court Judge, H.R. Deshpande, presided on the occasion.
