Dubai: Whoever thought an India, NRI at that who died in an accident in Saudi Arabia, would not return to his native Kindangoor in Kottayam central Kerala for an year as lifeless body.
An year-young relentless effort by his family members aided by sympathizers, brought KrishnaKutty Nair (55) as a dead body overcoming legal/bureaucratic hurdles from non-Cooperation of Nair’s Saudi sponsor to complete all necessary formalities to transport the body.
The sponsor wanted payment on his damaged car, before dispatching Nair’s body to Kerala! He central to the year long delay.
Nair was working as a driver in Jizan for 18 years for a Saudi master but one hit a stray camel while driving the car, and died inside the damaged car on 24-02-2011, an year ago.
The Saudi owner of this car filed case against Shihab, a representative of Nair’s family.
It took less than a day clear the body that was kept for an year in Saudi Arabia at Jizan, when Saudi authorities forced the sponsor to complete all formalities to release the body of Nair from Jizan to go to Kochivia Saudi Riyadh on Monday.
