Mangalore : As soon as Mangalore Centre Railway Station received an anonymous hoax bomb call, the security was tightened in the place on March 3, Saturday.
The anonymous caller said that bomb was placed in one of the trains reaching Mangalore and would destroy the station.
Immediately, the Mangalore city police created caution and beefed up security. The sniff dog squads were called into action and metal detectors at the entry and exit points were placed.
Railway Station officials were highly comfortable with their security arrangement and decided to beef up security at notch higher.
