Mangalore: The Fr. Muller College of Nursing, started in 1987, has opened a new Silver Jubilee memorial building, inaugurated by Dr. K.S. Sri Prakash, vice-chancellor of RGU of Health science on Tuesday, March 13. City Bishop Dr. A Paul D’Souza blessed the building in a short prayer session in city.
It has an auditorium called Rajat (white) Bhawan (House).The seating capacity is 500.
The new building serves ‘medical service’ students with four lecture halls, each accommodating a hundred persons, equipped with audio-Visual machinery. There are libraries and modern labs.
Three courses are taught here: M Sc., and B.Sc., in Nursing, and Post-basic Certificate Course in Nursing.
Architect Christopher Noronha and civil contactor Diwakar were honoured Director FMI, Fr. Patrick Rodrigues, Administrator Fr. Denis D’Souza city Victor-General Fr. D. Moras Prabhu and deans Dr J. P. Alva and Dr. Sanjeew Rai were present.
