Mangalore: ‘Karavali Maarutha(Coastal Wind) may be the name of a local Kannada tabloid on Karnad Sadashiva Rao Road in Ganesh Mahal Complex, but it was vandalised by six gangsters at noon on Saturday here who came in like coastal cyclones, barging in and attacking the editor Sudesh Kumar and another employee.

The editor suffered a loss of Rs40,000 on his office assets, it is learnt.

An article written against Sri Rama Sene in the paper invited the destruction of office furniture and glass panes.

One of the six strangers was injured in a punch on the glass.

A case is registered with Bunder police.
