Mangalore: Imran(22), Ismail(51) and Zakir(Jacky) Hussain(25), all from local Kannur, were arrested by Kankanady rural police here, in quick time in a major break through on Tuesday, March 20.
They were wanted in a recent murder case of Abdul Rahman alias Puttha.
Circle inspector Ravish Nayak led the counter attack on culprits, to fish them out of Farangipet, and rounded them up, before producing the three in a court of law. They were remanded to judicial custody till April 3, his team noted.
The three were abettors, as the prime accused was still not found, but hunt is on to capture him, police sources informed.
Puttha had been attacked on March 13 brutally, and was killed by a gang of four assailants, due to gang rivalry. The deceased had 8 criminal cases against him, in Pandeshwar, Kankanady, and Ullal.
He had been released on bail and warned of a charge on his life, said the local police. He did not bother.
