Bangalore: In spite of surfeit of annoying developments within BJP, Caused by ex-CM B.S. Yeddyurappa, to snatch a position of power in the state, he was denied all power and stayed at home, while 46 MLAs under him boycotted the Budget session with him, staying in a posh resort outside the city for days on end.
Only 4 out of 50 attended the Vidhana Sabha as MLAs on the day of presentation of Budget by Yeddy’s disciple and current CM, DV Sadananda Gowda on the morning at 11AM of Wednesday, March21, and there were other 52 MLAs from ruling benches.
The new CM and FM, DVS Gowda presented an almost Rs1 lakh crore budget to day.
Priority is given to Farming, Fisheries, Irrigation and Dairy Projects. Gowda has continued the important aspects found in previous 6 party.
There is a grant of Rs126 crores for Information Technology, other Science and technological developments Some prominent account heads are as follow:
Rs.1 crore to journalists’ Welfare activities. Rs269 crores for Kannada and cultural programmes. Rs25 crores to Mysore Tourism and Palace surroundings on Centenary. Coastal Kambala sports get Rs1core. Rani Abbakka Bhavan Construction at Ullal Rs 2 crores. Kasaragod Yakshagana Art Group gets Rs50 lakhs.

BWSSB gets Rs.1,000 crores.
