Bangalore : Justice R.D. Dinakaran, CJ of Karnataka, who was not attending to his official work in Bangalore in the last 6 month and who had been transferred to Sikkim against protests from lawyers there, is finally leaving for Gangtok to continue as chief Justice, but the allegations against him notwithstanding. He was not wanted by Karnataka Bar Association members, when he was transferred here from Tamil Nadu, on allegations of corruption. But chief Justice Balakrishnan (since retired) could not effect his transfer when he was in office, but his successor, H.S. Kapadia had a discussion with the President of India and then transferred him. 2 other senior judge also have been transferred at he same time.
The new Karnataka CJ is Jagdish Singh Kehar (57) from Uttarakhand Court, who will take office around Aug.12/13, it is stated.
