Mangalore : DK district JDS minority president D M Aslam said that the statement given by Udupi JDS president has hurt the feeling of minorities of the district.

Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands Hall on March 24, Saturday he said that Udupi JDS president Deviprasad Shetty has commented that the minorities have cheated without casting vote to JDS. He must know that there are no organized union and peoples representatives in Udupi district.

He also said that the JDS has started from union from zero and has gained around 70,000 votes which is an achievement. In the coming days it will have a bright future in the coastal and Malnad region he said.

Azeez Kudroli said that, president without commenting on the particular community, the party must work hard to strengthen the party joining hands with HD Devegowda and HD Kumaraswamy. Udupi JDS president must know that minorities are not just present in JDS but also in other parties. Most of them have casted vote to congress to teach lesson to BJP government and BJP has defeated because JDS.

JDS members like Sushil Naronha, Iqbal Ahmed, Abubakker and Muneer and others were present.
