Bangalore: CM DV Sadananda Gowda has strongly reacted to the tantrums being created by Jayalalitahaa’s dictatorial AIADMK Government in the name of Cauvery river water feuds and told the reporters on Saturday that he would be giving a befitting answer to the neighbouring state on its demands.
The reporters had asked him about Tamil Nadu Government., going to Supreme Court with a petition to obtain release of Cauvery Waters for the state crops, and he was livid with rage on Tamil mischief for Couvery Waters.
Gowda said his Government was committed to the River Tribunal orders. There fore there is no need for Tamilnadu rulers to raise the issue again and again, without sense. They could go to any court and we shall suitably reply them through the same court, he retorted.
We do not agree to the argument that we must sacrifice the interests of our own farmers, to feed water to Tamil fields. We are bound to protect the Welfare of our own farmers first, Gowda said clearly.
We would submit a reply on March 24 against Tamil Nadu charges made against us, on March 22. But we will discuss the matter fully with our senior secretaries here, and decide upon further action, Gowda declared.
