Sullia: Devides(16), a minor, suddenly took a parked pick-up truck on Sunday at Kandadka when a tug-of-War game was in progress and the truck had stood nearby, and drove it into a group of people at Duggaladka on March 25 with a speed, resulting in the spot deaths of Gopalkrishna(23) and Sushmita(10).

Gopalkrishna worked in a car showroom, while Sushmita a Tamil girl, studied in a Government school. Three other persons, including a woman, were injured.

The truck still in motion, hit an electric pole that fell upon those(injured)3 persons.

The minor driver fled the scene of havoc and death. The injured in a shocked condition, were taken to a hospital in town.

MLA S. Angara, ZP member Naveen Kumar Menala, and local leaders dashed to the hospital, to console the injured patients.

Sullia police have registered a case, against Devidas.
