Mangalore: The Kannada local papers were full of criticism heaped on Dr. Mithra Hedge(dentist) on her claims as a doctor to the President and as Rajyotsava award winner under Yeddy regime.

Dr. Mithra was offering devotional services at the hoary Kollur Mookambika temple on Friday when she was rocked by revelations made by Hanumanth Kamath (Nagarika Hitharakshana Vedike) this week, against her being a fake in her profession and disproving her earlier claims at a press conference, besides accusing her of charging heavily on dental treatments carried out by her.

Her claims about August 2010 and later dates were pooh-poohed by local civilians. Kamath demanded proof on her appointment as personal dentist to President of India. CM DVS Gowda had praised her for keeping his teeth white, in a wide smile he displayed in public on many occasions.

Dr. Mithra has not flinched but stood by her claim as official dentist to President, despite the RTI query and response to it.

She said there were some Conspirators against her, who raised doubts, but added that she would clear all doubts on return from Kollur.

Kamath in reply at Mangalore said that Dr. Mithra did not possess the identity card to buttress her claims. Dr. Mithra has contested the observations made by Kamath, Shivasharan Shetty and Murali Mohan, based on an RTI query that repudiated her claims.
