Mangalore: A job fair for PG, diploma, and ITI, students would be held on May 12-13 under Alva’s ‘Pragati-2012’, with over 150 companies from 11 sectors expected to participate, to select personnel.

About 25,000 students of DK-Udupi and adjoining districts are likely to benefit from this precious opportunity to find suitable jobs.

A Website was launched by Dr. Mohan Alva in the press club in Mangalore on Saturday to ease registrations.

A pre-placement training for those willing to take part in the placement drive will be held from May 5 to 10. Trainers with much industrial experience will speak to students.

No money is charged for participating in job fair, by a student or a Company.

Union minister M. Veerappa Moily will preside over the placement drive.

Trustee Vivek Alva, Amith Shetty, and Co-ordinator Arun D’Souza were present at the Press Club, on April 7.
