Mangalore: The 5th year commencement celebrations at Sri Gopala Krishna Temple in Shaktinagar and the offering of 1 crore Tulsi leaves to the deity by devotees took place as on Thursday morning April 19 at Shaktinagar. Last night, a special pandal erected for visitors was ruined by sharp winds and heavy rains in the area.
Narendranath Swami performed the dedication of materials such as Tulsi and coconuts, to be used for next 10 days, and took part today in the worship of the deity.
The first offering of materials started from Vaidyanath temple and reached Krishna temple.People marched in procession holding Tusli leaves in hand, to the venue.
K.C. Naik, chief Trustee speaking to press said that when he went to see UK Basu of MRPL, he looked upset and unhappy over DK administration not allowing water connection to MRPL. KCN Consoled him and invited him to the Temple service. The same evening there were thunder showers.
The Lord had answered prayers of his devotees and blessed the city in rains. K.C. Naik felt blessed, having prayed with a clean heart, on the eve of Koti Tulasi Namaarchane which concludes on April 29.
