Bangalore: CM DV Sadanada Gowda has conveyed a good news to the Fire fighters’ Brigade in the mega-city on April 20

The state Govt, is committed by increase the salaries and allowances to all Fire staff and emergency services, and also create basic facilities like housing for them he informed.

In a programme organised by R.A. Mundkur (former IGP) memorial Fire and emergency service Academy at Bannerghatta Road in city on Friday, CM distributed medals for distinguished services rendered by the staff and assured them that it was the duty of the state to provide them certain basic facilities, as they take risks to save lives and properties under an emergency.

The Govt, he added has released Rs 40 crores to open new fire-fighting station and build houses for staff in complexes.

CM went on to praise the Fire brigade as the only brave in stitution that takes new challenges and nurses its good relationship with citizens always. Efforts are on new, to increase such staff strength by 1,400 men
