In a programme organised by R.A. Mundkur (former IGP) memorial Fire and emergency service Academy at Bannerghatta Road in city on Friday, CM distributed medals for distinguished services rendered by the staff and assured them that it was the duty of the state to provide them certain basic facilities, as they take risks to save lives and properties under an emergency.
