Bhatkal: The Durga Parameshwari Temple at Kitre in the Taluk had an Ashta-Bandha religious Programme conducted as per prescribed texts and rules on Tuesday here.

Sri Raghaveshwar Swami of Ramachandrapur Math conducted the worship proceedings. The installation of smaller gods such as Ganapathi, Veerabhadra and Kshetrapala (protector deity) in the family of the Goddess was also done.

The “Go-Samvardhana” Swamiji spoke in a religious concourse held later and offered his advice to devotees.

Ministers Viveshvara Hegde Kageri and C.M. Udasi and KSDL chairman Shivanand Naik were present on the holy occasion.

Ustad Faiyaz Khan delighted a Large audience late at night ,with his Hindustani vocal recital to enthuse listeners.
