Bangalore: H.D. Revanna elder brother of ex-cm Kumaraswamy, a former minister and president of KMF, new an MLA, has demanded an enquiry by CBI into the mystery of Rs.50 crore losses incurred by KMF, after he left it.
He charged the present MLA and chairman of Karnataka Milk Federation, Gali Somashekhara Reddy(brother of Janardhan and Karunakar) with inefficient administration leading to huge losses in 2011-12 in milk.
The JD-S legislature leader Revanna (Gowda) speaking at Vidhan Soudha on Wednesday to Press Persons, accused KMF administration of storing up 4000 tonnes of milk powder , without a chance of sale.
There was an unsold stock of 3200 tonnes of butter, and keeping such huge stocks at the Dairy was itself a scandal in itself, Revanna criticised.
KMF under BJP rule was moving only on the path of losses and scams in purchase materials, to make products out of milk that should have been freely distributed in drought affected areas among farmer’s families.
The Gowda government did not bother, although DVS Gowda had headed KMF for 2 to 3 months before he became CM.
His Govt is not able to manage droughts skillfully. The farmers are not getting good quality seeds for next crops.
There are no fertiliser stocks in the state, to meet farmers demand and their suffering has doubled, he attacked BJP rule.
The CM is hesitating to take an all –party delegation to Delhi even in hard times. But Devegowda, Revanna explained, would take a delegation to Delhi to plead for Central assistance this week.
