For BESCOM/HESCOM/MESCOM rate is raised by 10 Paise per unit. Consumer use electricity rate is raised by 10 Paise per unit. 10Hp motor usage power is up by 10 Paise per unit.
Low tension (LT) Water supply department power use is reduced by 50 paise per unit.
All other 24 lakhs of users have to pay 20 paise more, per unit from tomorrow (May 1).
Karnataka has 195 lakhs of power consumers. High Tension (HT) Water supply units are not covered by any increase.
