Mangalore : Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda was all praise for the Kudala   Deshasta Adya Goud Brahmin community and its contributions to the society.

He was speaking at a convention of the Kudal Deshasta Adya Goud Brahmins  held at CV Nayak Hall in Mangalore on May 6.

The Chief Minister further said the community members had supported him to a great extent and was highly appreciative of the services rendered to the society by some prominent members of the community like noted environmentalist Medha Patkar and Air Marshal AV Naik. He also emphasized the need for every community to have its own organization which will work towards the development of the community.

Kshema Nidhi, a fund instituted for the welfare of the community members was inaugurated on the occasion by the Chief Minister and other guests present.

Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, N Yogish Bhat, MLA and Deputy Speaker, Nagaraj Shetty, Coastal Development Authority President, Krishna Palemar, MLA were among others present as chief guests on the occasion.
