Bangalore : Lady luck seems to be smiling at Rural Development Minister Jagadish Shettar. It has now remained no secret that both Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda and State BJP Chief Eshwarappa want to offer the Deputy CM post to Shettar who however has said news in this regard were baseless. He has also clarified that he was not an aspirant for the post.
Meanwhile, the Yeddyurappa loyalists who are once again displeased with the CM for writing a letter to the high command seeking action against them, seem to want Gowda to step down and make way for Shettar. It is with such an idea that they are pressing for a legislative council meeting.
However, the Yeddy camp has suffered a setback with Basavaraj Bommai announcing that he was ready to quit anytime and was not interested in continuing as minister after facing charges of being involved in anti-party activities.
