New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has directed Google to delete the offensive write-up against Ravishanker Guruji of Art of Living that has appeared on a blog, within the next 36 hours.

The Court which took up for hearing the defamation suit file by followers of Sri Ravishanker Guruji has also served a notice to the blogger Jithender Bagga who has published the offensive write-up.

The court has also warned him that he will have to face stern action if he failed to heed to the interim order. The objectionable matter will have to be deleted within 36 hours from the hour of receipt of the order copy, the court said.

The Court has also directed Bagga not to email any content of the said matter directly or indirectly. The next date of hearing has been fixed at May 30. Some followers of Guruji and the Vyakti Vikas Kendra, India  Public Charitable Trust  had filed the case and had sought damages of Rs5 crore. The Trust had drawn the attention of the court that Bagga through http://www.blgogger.com/ had sent innumerous emails and articles including offensive and abusive information.
